Classic is based in Napier, New Zealand and has been tanning for almost 50 years. Our custom tanning service is open to anyone who would like a skin tanned.

 

We tan a wide range of New Zealand farmed and game animals. Most common skins are Sheep, cattle and deer.

 

We accept skins from anywhere in the country by courier and will courier them back to you when completed. The process takes around 14 weeks but please see our home page for current lead times.

We do the whole process sustainably on-site including tanning and finishing of the skin. We can even dye skins if desired. This means we not only fully tan the skin but also add extra finishing that others can't offer.

 

The tanning process is very safe and most skins can be washed to keep them looking like new. If you have any further questions about any of the process please get in touch.
